“Practice makes perfect” It’s like learning how to do anything, at first it may feel awkward, then with practice you and your child will be pros! Finding other baby wearers in your area can be a great help while becoming comfortable wearing your baby in the gOzOzO pouch. People around the world carry their children in slings and fabric holders-- you can too!
HELPFUL REMINDERS :
- Introduce the pouch to your child when he or she is fed and rested.
- Practice on your bed or a soft place so you have a spot to place your child. Also practice in front of a mirror or with someone's help.
- Always be careful that you put your child in the sling pouch properly to avoid dropping or falling out accidents.
- Make sure the fabric is spread evenly across your back and shoulders.
- Make sure the "seam" or curved end is on the lower part of your body, this is where the baby's bottom will go for most positions.
- Make sure the pouch is the right size for you and it feels comfortable. If it too big the baby will hang too low and if it's too tight, the baby will be difficult to put inside.
- Try moving or swaying when you get your child into the pouch. The rocking movement may help sooth the baby.
- Try different positions and practice.
COMMON SENSE WARNING
Do not drink hot beverages, drive, ride a bike, be near open flames or do other dangerous activities while wearing baby in the pouch.
WARNING: Positional asphyxia (suffocation) can occur in young babies. This can happen when a baby's chin is pressed against his or her chest, restricting airflow. Check to ensure that baby's airway is unobstructed and baby is breathing regularly at all times, especially when sleeping.
